How to clean your Lane Tanner Designs Jewelry

One of the most common questions I get from customers is “how do I clean my jewelry?” It’s a fact: Sterling silver will tarnish, and it will need to be cleaned. Luckily cleaning your sterling silver and 14k gold filled Lane Tanner Designs jewelry is very easy to do. All you need is a Sunshine Brand Polishing Cloth and a little elbow grease. I’ll even show you how it’s done!

Begin by cleaning the outer edge (the metal frame) of the piece. This is usually the place that becomes tarnished and dirty first.

Now it is time to clean the chain. Fold the cloth in half and sandwich the chain inside. Pull the chain along the inside of the cloth (lightly so it does not break!). You will need to do this a few times. As you repeat this process the metal will become brighter and shinier!

If you are cleaning earrings, clean the image charm along the sides first. Be sure to clean the earring wires as well.

Lastly, polish up the resin image. Sunshine Brand Polishing Cloths are safe to use on resin. The polishing cloth will make it nice and shiny! When you are all finished cleaning your piece, use a soft cloth or a microfiber cloth to wipe down the piece.

All done! Now that your piece is clean, store your jewelry in an airtight container. All Lane Tanner Jewelry comes in a tarnish proof plastic bag that you can store your pieces in. It will save time in cleaning down the line.

Now it’s your turn. Get a Sunshine Brand polishing cloth and get scrubbing!
